Ok ANET,

Protective Bond, I can understand, really, it was too strong. But why, oh why did you reduce the radius of the Mesmer Shatter Hex and lower its damage by 23 points? Surely we lowly Mesmers were not abusing one of the few skills we had going for us?

Most of the changes: good
Reducing Shatter Hex: not good
Majority of Mesmer Elites: still bad

Then again, we can at least play with hexes in PvP again. Perhaps it all comes out in the wash.

Overall, good update. Thanks ANET!

I'm happy to see the nice buff to necs
Indeed, no other class can solo with such efficiency. And now, nobody will solo with such efficiency; the overall ecto farming efficiency will drop. He~llo, 30k ectos!

NOOOO! Shatter Hex, why did you have to die? /mourn

Correct, and that means more healers for us xD
Right now, it just means a bunch of monks in ToA who don't have any useful skill whatsoever and refuse to heal, even though they don't give a thought to healing others.

I think the price of Superior Monk Runes may take a dive. I just now sold off those monk runes I bought cheap awhile back. A nice profit for me.

Nah, I think you'll see increased drops in ecto to encourage team runs. I think that's what Anet is trying to get at with a few of these nerfs, especially the invincimonk. I don't think it was so much as, "They can and we can't!" as it was that class was destroying one of the game's key elements - Team play. Heck, everybody and their brother was whipping up a 105/55 monk. It was getting pretty darn ridiculous. Anywho though, I think you'll see more drops because farming is harder. At least that's what I hope.

I believe the ones most interested in nerfing Prot Bond were those affected by it in pvp, or those that felt gold isn't very valuable in this game anyway.

nice updates... lets give credit to A.Net.. they're really trying their best to make sure this game is as balanced as it possibly can. Now we all know that a perfectly balanced game is impossible cos everyone's idea of balanced is totally different... but A.Net wants this game to be a game of skills and not a game where a certain build owns every build..

I say Good Job A.Net.. Keep the updates coming.. It not only makes the game more balanced, it keeps up excited.. who doesn't like changes anyway.. Stale becomes rotten.. I guess it'll be a matter of time before things stabalizes and less updates will be required.. GW is such a new game anyway.

Much love for the new patch.

My only comment is, I'm glad to see they 'attempted' to nerf smite groups to an extent with the increase recharge times for Draw Condtions and Divine Boon.

BUT!

That wasn't the main abuse tho... >.> The real nerf should have hit Ether Renewal which supplies the smiters with near infinite energy.

Smiters now have to omgz add one skill to their lineup and combo Draw Conditions and Reversal of Fortune.

True, I get the feeling that many disgruntled 105 monks will be going on hiatus soon. I doubt we'll see many ToA monks for awhile.

But Renewal is such a nice and useful Elementalist skill, outside of farming.
